Fargo (1996) R -
with it's unique cast of characters, mixture of humor
and horror and plot driven by a kidnapping gone wrong,
Fargo sets a quirky tone that few films come close to.
The Godfather (1972) R
The Godfather, Part II (1974) R - an
iconic American tale of family, success, immorality,
greed, lust and retribution.
Being John Malkovich
(1999) R - part science fiction, part love
story, part supernatural thriller. A wild ride.
Unforgiven (1992) R
- There was a time when the western ruled the silver
screen. This is the crowning jewel of that genre.
The Usual Suspects (1995) R
- Kevin Spacey at his best in this mystery thriller
with twists and deception everywhere.
Nashville (1975) R
This movie moves with a rhythm of it's own, as does
it's musical score.
Horse Feathers (1932) NR
- move over Animal House. This is the best college
comedy of all time.
21 Grams (2003) R, Mystic
River (2003) R - If you doubt that Sean
Penn is the best actor of his generation, see these
two gems and doubt no more.

Kill Bill: Vol. 1 & 2 (2004)
R - a send up of the martial arts movie
genre and based on a comic book. Without Quentin
Tarrantino at the helm this concept might suck. With
him there: perfection.
